2020 and Beyond

TUFLOW's most successful year yet, with new industry leading releases and multiple industry awards for innovation

What a Year!

2020 has no doubt not been the year you expected. In TUFLOW world, we're pleased to say, we’ve had an excellent year highlighted by:

  • Release of the amazing TUFLOW HPC 2020 with new industry leading features including: Quadtree meshes; cell and scale size independent turbulence; and the huge benefits of Sub-Grid Sampling.
  • Major new release of our 1D/2D/3D flexible mesh solver, TUFLOW FV; now an industry leader for coastal and estuarine modelling, and our fastest growing product.
  • Inclusion of BMT on the Australian Financial Review’s most innovative companies list for the TUFLOW 2020 release.
  • The new website! If you haven’t seen it already, you're here now.
  • A rapid pivot to online training courses - these have worked so well, and the feedback has been so positive, we’ll keep these going indefinitely.
  • Educational webinar series hosted by AWS.
  • Our great team deservedly winning BMT’s 2020 Innovation Award.
  • And despite Covid-19, another record year in terms of sales, with particularly strong uptakes in New Zealand, UK/Europe and the USA.

As 2020 closes, it’s very rewarding to reflect on yet another year with so many great achievements. To see the positive comments flowing in from users for TUFLOW HPC 2020, and receiving the AFR most innovative companies listing after several years of research and development, is extremely rewarding. The quality of research and development going into TUFLOW FV and the enthusiastic uptake by new users is particularly exciting.

However, it doesn’t stop there. We’ve just completed our planning for 2021, and we have a nice list of more exciting features and functionality coming your way, so watch this space.

Whilst we haven’t had our usual year of face-to-face conferences, workshops and training courses, it has still been an absolute pleasure meeting everyone in-person or online, especially our external alpha and beta testers. Thank you to all who have been a part of TUFLOW during 2020.

We wish you all the best for 2021.
