TT200: TUFLOW FV Introductory Training

An introduction to TUFLOW FV flexible mesh modelling

Overview

This introductory course opens with an overview of TUFLOW FV and its modules, including exploration of some examples of its environmental applications. This is followed by detailed instruction in how to efficiently build digital elevation models and flexible meshes using modern techniques. Participants will then learn how to construct a 2D hydrodynamic and advection dispersion estuarine model, including automated application of atmospheric and oceanic boundaries. Practical instruction will be provided in result viewing using the QGIS TUFLOW Viewer and Jupyter notebooks. The model will then be converted to 3D and the use of events, scenarios and variables discussed. This is offered as teacher led face-to-face (classroom) learning, with attendees building, updating, and running a TUFLOW FV model with ample opportunity to interact and discuss topics with our expert trainers.
